Many of our paper materials constituting the history of the Town of Woodbury are preserved under our “subject file” collections. This includes, but is not limited to, businesses, organizations, local landmarks, historic houses, important eras in local history, and more. Developing this collection has been the work of nearly 40 years of slowly acquiring artifacts from donations, yard sales, auctions, and everywhere in between. Woven together in our organized files, they provide a detailed look into the people, places, and things that made Woodbury what it is today. When using our database, please take note of the following terms used to identify how items are organized: Box: sometimes, certain collections are so large that they expand into being stored within acid-free boxes. There are a few collections that are so large, they need their own cabinets. Book: some subjects contain books on their materials, and can be cross-referenced with our library database.
